Sample Itinerary
Please be aware that you should be flexible with the schedule. Each group is different and the process you will be going through will be unique. The itinerary below is intended to give you and idea but it can be changed and adapted during the retreat to maximize your experience.
DAY 1
Arrive in Quito. Transportation to San Pablo de Lago.
Welcome ceremony with Indigenous music, dance and buffet style dinner.
DAY 2
Light breakfast. Chanupa Ceremony to get to know one another and express your intentions for the week.
Cultural History discussion by Pablo Broada. Sound healing with local healer using instruments native to this region of Ecuador.
Light lunch.
Create your own dream catcher in nearby workshop along with discussion of history of dream catchers.
Ayahuasca in evening with Taita Simon (Columbian Ayahuasca Medicine Man).
DAY 3
Recovery Day. Yoga. Breakfast
Lomi Lomi or therapy massage to restore energy and soothe the body.
Lunch
Three hour walk to waterfall.
Dinner.
Meditation and traditional music around the fire.
DAY 4
Yoga. Breakfast.
Wachuma (San Pedro cactus) ceremony in the caldera of Mojanda (inactive stratovolcano)
Dinner
Meditation and traditional music around the fire.
DAY 5
Yoga. Breakfast.
Shopping trip to Cotacachi to visit the fine leather shops and have coffee. After Cotacachi, we visit Otavalo’s Indigenous market and have lunch.
Walk the San Pedro labyrinth with or without psilocybin medicine. Art therapy painting. Enjoy the beauty of the four surrounding volcanoes while enjoying dinner at the lodge. Meditation and live music around the fire.
DAY 6
Yoga/Breath Work
Lunch
Flute making workshop and history of this beautiful instrument.
Temazcal (sweat lodge) approximately two hours.
Traditional Pachamanca meal celebrating Pachamama, the Earth Mother.
This is a communal ceremony in which you will enjoy delicious vegetables and meats cooked in a pit over hot stones.
Closing ceremony.
DAY 7
Transportation to Quito International Airport.
